Freaking thing weighs 28lbs. The sound is awesome even on my underpowered JL 300/2 amp. This sub really needs a JL 500/1

Those are some nice subs. I like the new cone design JL has.

how much? where? how does it compare to some of the other high excursion subwoofers out there?

The sub just shipped last Friday and retails for $459. It is extremely hard to find, at least in Chicago it is. I was able to get a pair from a JL rep at a good price but I am not allowed to reveal what I paid. Sorry!

I have been on the waiting list for about 6 months.

SQ wise I notice great improvement over the 12W6 I use to have. The bass is much cleaner and pure. SPL wise, I really can not say as I am still breaking in the sub and my JL 300/2 amp is underpowering the amp so I really can't get an ideal SPL reading. The JL 500/1 amp is a must for this sub.

after putting in system... feels like i lost 20 hp instantly

that was just 1 sub and 1 amp too.... doooog sloooooww.... a tacoma beat me today... just great..

Wait...whats the difference between a W6 V2 and a regular W6? I never knew there was such a thing. Did they just come out or something?

LOL! I think that the extra weight of the one amp and one sub was probaly 90% mental, unless you bought a 200lb sub and a 200lb amp. How much is the combined weight of the sub/amp that you got, like 40lbs?

JL just shipped last Friday. The W6 series was disco'd a few months ago. The W6v2 shares many of the same design as the W7 but not as powerful.

The painting up front depicts a common Cambodian village. The one in the back and hung on the wall is of Angkor Wat. It is a painting of this.
