nope painted.
ok....here's what is painted: center console, guage trim, guage bezel, A/C Vents, Vanity Mirror covers, bolt covers on door.
all painted at PJ's Body Shop (off of Rt. 1 in Bel Air) for around $90
Jerry (the "J" in PJ's) , just took my paint code off of my door, and asked if i wanted it Extra GLOSSY... I said, "yes sir"... and then the next day, Ba-Blam! I have a shiney spectra Blue interior
They did a real nice job! and if you guys are interested in going to PJ's to get this done, i could arrange it for ya and hook you up, because i know Jerry pretty good

hmm the needles look pretty cool clear, maybe i should try that instead of red, is ur leds still orange? or is it changed?
DJChad03

The red button in a push-button switch for my footwell Neons.
All my other lights (console lights, clock, etc.. ) are a nice red color. I'm doing a red/ blue theme.
But Yea my led's are still orange. Eventually I'll get the blue LED kit.
But the needles look bad ass at nite.. it glows an unbelievable glow through the 'naked' needles! LOOKS AMAZING.
It's a priceless mod, with great results (even with the stock orange color)

What power source did you tap into for your radar detector? I like it.
DJChad03
06-20-2002, 01:03 PM
SF GT: It's TRD Extended. I just like in sticking out. Plus I might get a body kit in the future.
baNanA_ryCe: Good man welcome to the club:wiggle:
borpph: I ran the spirally cord of the detector behind the center console so that the adapter tip was behind the cig lighter. I cut of the cig adapter, spliced into the power and ground of the cig lighter, so now when i turn my car on...my radar comes on, and when i turn my car off...the radar turns off.:applaud:

honest comments in my opinion lower it, get some wheels, maybe some exterior mods other than clear bumper lenses. interior looks good. but your suspension and your wheels do not belong on a celica especially with custom work done else were

how are your redded out tail lights in the dark? how much time did it take to do it?
DJChad03
06-21-2002, 12:53 PM
they look pretty damn good in the dark. They blink a nice red with the directionals.
Accually it only tookl me like shy of an hour and a half, from unbloting to bolting back on.
I assisted in the drying process with the Hot red lamp, and a blow dryer.

Do you have picture of your clear needle at night with the orange light up? I was planning to do like yours one time and put a blue film on the back of the needle because the same full blue indiglo like yours will might light up the blue needle.

Can you set me up an appointment at the same shop to have my interior done in liquid silver for a comparable price? I have CF pieces in my console, but the bordering, airvents, Bevel I'd really like to have painted. Please let me know.

i'll take pic of the clear needle at nite time earlier next week.. (monday / tuesday) after i get my other things back from being painted.
I think if you put blue film behind it.... it will still be orange. The LED behind it makes it orange, not the orange paint behind the needle
If you really want me to I can. Get back to me and let me know what you want done.

Well, just cover up the orange LED with black tape.
I don't want you to do the blue film on the needle, it just a suggestion for you. When I had my procarparts gauge, I came up with that idea.
I got a reverse gauge now, so I just I want to see how a clear needle look like at night and I might do it if it look right.
Thanks..
