Smoked out

Just wondering what everybody thinks of totally smoked out celicas?

Like dark tint, tails tinted, headlights tinted, relocation of front plate to lower grill, tinted sidemarkers, and tinted 3rd brake light.

Who here would think this owuld look good? Im debating whether i should do this or not.

You gotta watch out with the tail lights though all the cops up here are dicks about it. I smoked out my old Mr2s lights and got followed/pulled over for it all the time

The cops around here are not nearly as picky. Every mustang and camaro I see has there tails tinted. personally I don't care for the tinted out tails look but if the car is completley blacked out I think it would look pretty good on a black car

Thats the one thing im worried about. My friend with an m3 just got pulled over not to long ago for the tinted tails. But got off with just a warning. So, im kinda wondering if its worth it. And i wouldnt be going pitch black tails. I would be getting semi dark.

Ur car would look bad ass. i smoked my taillights and got black housing halo headlights, looks awesome, i just need the side markers and 3rd brake light done.

i bought a cheap set of 00-02 tails off ebay and tinted those. That way if i get pulled over for having tinted tails, i can easily switch them out for the stock ones no problem. I'm going for the blacked out look as well, tinted headlights, sidemarkers, tails, breaklight, license plates....

only looks good on dark colored car, any other colors just seems out of place

funny, exactly what i was planning on doing, not sure if im going to go the vinyl or nightshade route though

i went niteshades and i think it's more work than it's worth. I can't get them to shine for the life of my like i can with the vinyl. If you don't plan on going really really dark, it's also hard to get everything to look even. If i would have gone back, i would probably get the vinyls.

I think im going to do it. I also have a set of stock tails in storage ill just swap to those if i get in trouble for a little..

I like how bat posted and "custom vinyl overlays here" is in bold in his sig :P

I was thinking about doing the same thing. I have a black 04. I need suggestions for the side markers.. Ive never tinted/smoked out anything myself, a friend has though. My tails are the black TYC's, eventually I plan on doing something to my head lights too. But Im having body work done on my front these next two weeks so I figured now would be a good time to play with the side markers. Any help would be great!

How exactly do you smoke the taillights effectively?

I think that smoked looks better than blacked out, blacked out makes your lights looked painted. Go with no more than 35% imo.
