Hey guys and i'm assuming girls too.

I moved to Australia and bought myself a new toyota (back in New Zealand i have a turbo sw20 mr2). I picked it up for a good price and its in VERY good condition for its age. The 21-rc is a pig of an engine however, so i need an engine that will do my nice celica justice. I dont want to go 3sge because of the extra fabrication involved, but i dont really want an r series engine because ive been told they're all piggy and heavy. (i can get my hands on an 18r-g for $600 australian if i run out of options)
I've heard the 1ggte is pretty viable, but i dont want something big and laggy. This leaves me really with only one choice - a 7age or one of the many 4ages. Is it worth getting a 7age block a 4age redtop small port head and an sc12 off a gtz? Or should i just go straight 4agze? I'm also having to convert this from auto to manual, so any tips, tutorials or build threads would be great!

Thanks in advance :)

Ryan from the Gold Coast.

Are Toyota motors all you're interested in? I've seen a few with Honda s2000 motors.

Well then again, it requires extra fabrication.

Good luck and post pictures of both the SW20 and the RA60.
