How do I disable the chirp when I lock/unlock my doors?

I have the RS3200 alarm on my car, but I lost my manual for it. Anyway, I was wondering if it's possible to lock and unlock my doors without it chirping? Can anybody help?

you gotta cut the wire going to the beeper thing under the hood .

it's a little circle thing that's wire tied and foamed right by the "do not open" behind the airbox

wow cool. I always wanted to disable the beeps but I liked the flashing. I might do this tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the tip Russ. That owns. The beeping was starting to get on my nerves. As cool as four beeping noises for unlocking two doors is, it's just not my style. Panic button still works too if I lose my car since it's the car horn! Perfect.

no no.....there's a programming hting. its like open door, close door, open door again....then honk horn 5 times and unlock you doors lock them and crazy stuff like that. lol...sadly...i tried it. it didn't work for me so i went and got an aftermarket alarm LoL.

Thanks for your help everybody. As for programming the keyless entry to unlock all your doors once, it works. I borrowed the manual from one of my friends and like banana_ryce said there's a bunch of "crazy stuff" to do. But in the end, it worked for me.

Passive Arming On/Off Selection, Entry Delay Time Selection

The RS3200 is factory-set to not Passively Arm. to change the system's operation for Passive Arming operation, as well as adjust the Entry Delay time, follow the procedure below. (Start procedure sitting in driver's seat.)

1. Before you begin:
Close all the doors, and the trunk or hatch.
Unlock all the doors with the inside lock switch.
Remove the key from the ignition switch.

2. Start the Programming Procedure. (Complete all steps within 30 seconds)
a. Using the remote control, lock, then unlock, the doors 3 times.
b. Open the driver's door.
c. Lock, then unlock the driver's door handle lock button 3 times.
d. The system lock the door in 2 seconds; if this does not happen, start over.
e. Unlock the driver's door handle lock button.

3. Select the Operating Mode & Complete the Programming Procedure.
a. Close, then Open the door:
2 times = Passive Arming OFF

3 times = Passive Arming ON,
0 sec Entry Delay

4 times = Passive Arming ON,
15 sec Entry Delay

5 times = Passive Arming ON,
30 sec Entry Delay

b. Lock then unlock the driver's door handle lock button 1 time.
c. The system locks the door in 2 seconds; if this does not happen, start over.
d. If the system successfully locks the door, programming is now complete.




RS300 Door Lock Selection

The RS3200 is factory-set to unlock the driver's door when the UNLOCK button is pressed on the remote control, the unlock the remaining doors when the UNLOCK button is pressed again within 3 seconds. You may change the programming so all doors will unlock at once with the UNLOCK button is pressed by following the steps below. (Start the procedure in the driver's seat.)

1. Before you begin:
Open the driver's door.
Remove the key from the ignition switch.

2. Start the Programming Procedure. (Complete all steps within 40 seconds)
a. Insert the key into, and remove it from the ignition switch 2 times.
b. Close, then open the driver's door 2 times.
c. Insert the key into, and remove it from the ignition switch 1 time.
d. Close, then open the driver's door 2 times.
e. Insert the key into the ignition and leave it in.
f. Close the driver's door.
g. Turn the key from LOCK to ON 4 times (ending at LOCK).
h. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
i. The tail and marker lights flash 4 times and the buzzer chirps 4 times.
j. The doors will lock and unlock 1 time. If this does not happen, start over.

3. Select the Operating Mode and Complete the Operating Procedure.
a. Press and release both LOCK & UNLOCK on the remote at the same time.
b. Press and release the UNLOCK button once for all doors unlock.

or
b. Press and release the LOCK button once for driver's door unlock.
c. The tail and marker lights flash 1 time and the buzzer chirps 1 time.
d. The doors will lock and unlock 1 time. (If it locks twice, start over.)
e. Open the driver's door; programming is now complete.




RS300 Ignition Controlled Auto Lock

The RS3200 is factory-set to automatically lock you vehicle's doors when you turn the ignition key to "ON" or "START", and unlock the doors when you turn the key back to "ACC" or "LOCK". To change the programming of this feature, follow the procedure below. (Start the procedure in the driver's seat.)

1. Before you begin:
Open the driver's door.
Remove the key from the ignition switch.

2. Start the Programming Procedure. (Complete all steps within 30 seconds)
a. Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it from LOCK to ON 5
times (ending at ON).
b. The tail and marker lights flash once, and the buzzer chirps once. If this
does not happen, start over.
c. The Status Monitor's LED (or the engine immobilizer LED turns on for 30
seconds.

3. Select the Operating Mode & Complete the Programming Procedure.
a. Close the door = IG. Controlled Door Locks ON

or
a. Close then open and close the door again = IG controlled Door Locks OFF
b. Turn the ignition key back to LOCK.
c. The tail and marker lights flash once, and the buzzer chirps once if the
system was set for IG door lock control ON, twice for IG door lock control
OFF. If this does not happen, start over. Programming is now complete.
