Hey guys,
Right finally purchased a decent car and got me a celica (Nothing special tbh) Also starting to enter the subtle modify scene by chosing some wheels and suspension. Now the idea thats been hovering over my head is, do I get the wheels first then lower it? Or do I lower it then fit the wheels? Or even at the same time?

Sorry for proper noob question :hide:, but friends and myself are unsure which to do first.

Cheers,
C31ICA

I would say do it both at the same time. But if you can't then lowered it first and then get the wheels. That's my opinion.

more of a financial question then anything else. if you got the dough, do both at the same time. just curious, what are you looking for in terms of a drop and what size wheels?

For the drop im looking for about 35mm front and rear with some coilovers (prob tein or koni) and then 18" wheels. Sound about right?

Welcome. 18's are large wheels. 17's ftw!

18s are definitely too big and will slow the car down big time.

Drop the car first, then get the wheels.

Don't drop it like a ricer - buy shocks AND springs or pony up and get a real coilover setup.

Shocks and springs or coilovers ftw. If you don't say goodbye to your stock set up soon.

Drop first then wheels.

Thankyou all for your replies and welcomes :D
I will be saving up for a coilover set and then eventually my wheels as this seems the sensible way to go.

17's with 1.5 -2 inch drop looks perfect.
