i searched for a 2000 ecu for my 02 gts on junkyarddog.com and some would sell me one for 200-250 bucks but he said he needs my ecm # what is that and where can i find it in my engine bay?

your ecm (ECU) number or your engine serial number.. ESN... if the latter then you can find that right here:
