Differences between CAI and Short Ram?

I know the CAI gets colder air and produces for hp....but how much more hp and is it safer to have the short ram cuz water and other stuff cant get into the filter?

I've had both the Injen Short Ram and the Injen CAI. The reason why I went with a CAI is because I wanted to get the most HP that I can get from an intake. Yes, with a Short Ram intake, you don't have as many concerns of getting hydrolock, but you don't get the amount of HP in the CAI.

I believe the Injen Short Ram only produced about 4-6 hp, while the CAI produced anywhere from 7-10 hp.

If you go for the CAi be sure to install a watershield also..........
