besides the kazuma, is performace among all exhausts about the same? ive ehard that the trd is the best for performance, but how much more could it really pack than apex / blitz / veilside or trm?

damn. I have a Tanabe. Sounds good to me. No complaints here. I would imagine the second loudest wouldnt sound all that great and would cause as much disturbance as those god damn civics running through nyc!

The TRD exhaust is great IMO. It's actually deep when you do hear it under 3k after that, the engine is louder. I ended up taking out the resonator on my exhaust system to make the sound a little more audible on the high rpm's and although some people on these boards say it sounds ricey, I don't agree with them and still love the sound from both inside and outside the car.

I think most ppl ASSUME that the TRM/TSRM is a really loud exhaust. It really isn't... at least not on the Celica. My friend had one on his 'Teg and his was much louder than the one on my Celica for some reason. In truth, it's just a TAD louder than the TRD exhaust. I'd definitely say that the Thermal R&D exhaust is louder.

which exhaust has the highest hp gain? I have a little TRD pamphlet from the toyota parts department saying that their muffler gives a 14 hp gain, is this true?
