You can buy a Torque Converter from Level10. But It costs around $500 and installation is approximately another $500.

yea, i just checked out level10... looks like 1098.00 for the converter... it says it's a basic bolt on but of course installation always costs a **** load

hahahah Torque converter!
basic bolt-on!?!?!?!?
if you just happen to drop your tranny for kicks one weekend then sure it is
:p
this will not increase your TQ at all (it will keep ya in the fat of the TQ band though). It will allow you to power brake and launch at a higher rpm and get more + shifts in you auto-tranny

Will this Torque converter hurts your axle?

what axle? You mean your CV joints? Probably won't be the best thing you've ever done to them..

call LVL10, they will give ya the lowdown on what else you should beef up if your really worried after installing a Torque converter.
When i installed on on my vette i just added an additional tranny fluid cooler mounted in front of the radiator.

Oh...so, most likely is that, you won't only change the torque converter but also something, so that your car will be able to handle...ok...thank you

No. Simply, no.

Well, you could install smaller diameter tires, for a better effective gear ratio. That might give the illusion of higher torque. Make sure the wheels and tires are lighter than stock. I think the Celica has reasonable torque for a 1.8 liter. Maybe the 2004 model will have a bigger engine?

cheapest and easiest way to get more torque is sell you Celica and get another car used. However, I don't think you would want to do this.
