Barcode sticker for security gate

Get this, the company I work for is implementing this new security plan. They are putting up guard booths you have to pass through to get into the parking lot. Ok, no biggie, actually good idea cause now my car will be better protected in this parking lot which has had many car thefts in the past.

Here's the bad news, everyone is required to put a barcode sticker on their rear driver side window...it's read by some reader, and the gate will raise to let you in. It's a nasty looking sticker too, like 3x5 sticker of a black and white barcode.

Tell me this wouldn't piss you off....

Just buy that removable sticker crap from walmart. Makes your window sticker into a colorform type of thing. Still sticks to the window and looks normal but is removable and can be put up again. Don't remember what it is called though.

Weird, our garage has these things in the ceiling and all you have to do is stick this little piece of plastic (not quite as big as your sticker) at the top of the windshield and it scans it.

Alright the thing you want is called Easy peel. It is available at www.Easypeel.com. It is really quite cheap. Just stick the company sticker to this stuff and stick it to your window. I Guess they are called static stickers. Anyway it is available in a sheet about 8.5" X 11" one sheet for like $5.50 or smaller sizes for less.

Your little plasitc thing is probably a radio transmitter. Illinois uses them for I-Pass which is the xpress lane for the tollways.

IMO if your car is more safe this way its worth it, aslong as your as its not a 20inch decal

If you have any friends that work at a Blockbuster or Subway, the poster like things they put in their windows are Static Stickers (No adhesive) If you can find an old one with a large enough clear area should work about the same. That and any other store that uses window displays like em.

Try a automotive store, they may have something. Or Target and Walmart are usually pretty safe bets.

I've seen those barcodes on the sides of cars. I always thought they were rental cars for some reason.
