clutch is a wear item so they are not going to replace it under warranty. I had mine replaced but that was it went from a result of a misshift.
Pretty much just as he said...clutch is a wear item...just like brake pads...it should cost you around $700

You guys sure about that? I seem to think that the Clutch and brakes are both covered 12/12,000 for some reason.

Yeah, they are covered I think. I believe someone posted earlier about having their clutch replaced by Toyota under warranty.

I got a my clutch/plate/throwout bearing all replaced for free under warranty. I bought the 6-speed used with about 10,500 miles on it. It had a cricket-sounding squeeky sound when I had the clutch out. I took it in and they said they the throwout bearing wore down the clutch or something and that they would replace it all for free. :) After they did that, my 3rd gear was grinding really badly, so I took it in and they replace the whole front axle. Not bad.

save yourself the hassles from the dealership. just buy a good aftermarket clutch that'll last you longer than the stock one.

Yeah, mines at 30k, and my clutch is slipping more and more every day. I'm planing to go with a much better and stronger after market one. I think the stock ones are junk.
Would any of you have any info on how to ajust the cluch. I'm hopeing I can get a bit more life out of mine so that I can save up some more to do an LSD at the same time as the clutch.

My 2001 Blew a clip off the preasure plate at 12k. The dealer tried to say I was beating on it. We argued and finaly they opened it up, and called back. "Good news sir, It's all under warrenty." Boy did they kiss my ass after.
