I need all you NJ/NY people to help me on this, because Toyota is giving me a runaround syaing my intake is the cause for this broken rod in my engine. They said intake changes compression (false), and that the intake caused the engien to rev higher (also false) as you all know. I didn't misshift or anything, and they basically don't want to pay to have this fixed. Basically what I need from you is any helpful regional managers/representatives you've talked to (their names or contact information), and anyone who can help get this resolved. Here's the link to the first post, and sorry I reposted, just figure that NJ people would be able to help the best.

what you need to do is ask them to prove mechanically (take a mechanic with you if you have a friend who is one) or if you dont have one with you then bring a recorder. ask them to prove how an intake (more air) will cause anything other than the car to run slightly more lean. another course of action would be to call David Draper and he may be able to help, he's at West Covina Toyota in Cali the number is 626-859-7400. He may be able to also help you
Could also try taking the intake off, putting the stock air box back in, and taking it to a new dealership...that normally does the trick.

I might do that, but I don't think that'd help. Toyota already gave me a case number and now I'm going through the whole process of getting numbers, etc. basically just so they fix it. I'm pretty sure that this incident is now in their computer and therefore I'm screwed.
