ive got a question if any one can answer. how do you open up the housing for a headlight. i bought new halo headlights about a month ago the first couple of washes there was no fogging. and i washed it yesterday the passenger side got fogged up. the reason i want to open it is to remove the water marks when it gets dried up. this also happed with the stock one as well. and i don wanna buy another one. ur help is appreciated.

put your oven on bake 200F. place the headlights in there, check every 5 minutes or so to make sure the silicon on the headlight is somewhat melted, dont let the headlight sit too long or parts of your headlight will melt. Then just take the lights out of the oven and pry them open with a screwdriver. be careful not to get any of the silicon on the lens itself as it is hard to remove afterwards.
This is the only method I know for taking headlights apart. you could try to cut the silicon but they are sealed up pretty well

i can imagine that someone has been in a rush to do this before, and cooked the headlights with the bulbs inside... :)

This guide will tell you almost everything you need to know. http://celicagarage.com/forums//viewtopic.php?t=1185
When I took mine apart, I heated the oven to 300f, turned it off, set a towel in the oven, sat the headlight on the towel, and left it in there for 15 minutes just like the guide said. It can be kinda tricky to get apart so be careful.
Just make sure to turn the oven off before you put the towel in or it will catch fire. Also, make sure not to let the headlight scrape against any of the hot metal in the oven or it'll leave some pretty nasty scratches.
Unfortunately I found these things out the hard way. :gap:
