Wheel repair around Chicago?

I've got some minor curbing on 2 of my rims that I want to fix before I have them powdercoated. Does anybody have any suggestions where to go?

There is a place in Naperville, Can't remember the name of it but i Know it is on Ogden. I'll Check tommorrow. Had a rim fixed on a 2000 Grand Am After my Ex tried to destroy it. Too busy talking on the phone to watch out for curbs.

BTW, for those interested (got a PM on this), I'm taking my wheels to J&J in Zion, IL. They were recommended here by JesseIL (I think). They sounded pretty knowledgeable on the phone and I think the wheels will turn out nice.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner, Thought you had a place.

I don't remember the name but it is in Naperville on Ogden.

I think it is across the street from the Pontiac Dealer. There is a Horseshoe Shaped strip mall with several car repair places in it. The wheel shop was on the right about 1/2 way down.

When I was in there he described how he would repair it and said if it couldn't be done he would find a cheaper price for replacement. I think he quoted something like 120 for the rim Pontiac wanted 500 for.

Next time I am in the area I will look. Probably thurs. or Fri.

J&J powdercoating is by the old chocolate factory. I had my rims done there. Very good work and cheap! $60 a rim or so. They will grind scuffs out too.

Does J&J fix bent rims.............? I have some minor bent on each of my rims and would like to get them fix eventually...

But I don't know if they fix bent rims. I think they can smooth out some minor curbing. You might need to go to that place in Naperville.
