Alright, I'm looking at a full suspension upgrade for my car. The first thing I want to do is install front and rear struts. However, I do want to lower the car. I'm looking at lowering it a good 2". From what I hear coilovers with stock shocks will not last your shocks very long. If I want to lower the car, basically how would I go about it? What kind of cost am I looking at? And suggestions for good parts for totally lowering the car 2". I'm already aware of the price on strut bars.

Springs http://partscatalog.newcelica.org/page.php?path=celicagt&category=springs
Shocks http://partscatalog.newcelica.org/page.php?path=celicagt&category=struts
Coilovers and Spring/Shock combos http://partscatalog.newcelica.org/page.php?path=celicagt&category=coilovers
Tanabe DF210 Springs & KYB AGX shocks would get you your 2" drop and not be too expensive.

Skunk2, Tanabe DF, Eibach sportlines, Megan racing springs will all give you a good 2" drop and work well paired with KYB AGX shock/struts. I have the Skunk2 springs and they drop the car 2.25" front and 2.5" rear.

get some real coilovers, tein basic coilovers (spring and shock) are cheap and you can safely adjust the height all you want. springs/shocks you are stuck with the height.
