what type of paint should you use to paint it with? would you need a paint that can stand high heat or any will do?

Any paint will do. A lot of people use high temp paint, but it is completely unessasary, the plastic doesn't get nearly hot enough to damage the paint, if it did, the plastic would probably melt. Some people take the plastics into the body shop and have them painted with car paint, which always turns out pretty slick.

I took my pieces to the shop to get painted. They didn't use high temp paint. After a week, the paint pilled off. Now my plastics look stock again:D

I painted mine with high heat paint. I did about 5-6 coats of primer, then about 6 coats of paint, and 2 coats of clear coat. I would estimate the total cost at $10, and I did it myself.

I have had it done for about a month now, and have noticed no problems at all with it peeling or bubbling. Still looks as good as the day I did it!

They screwed up. Demand a redo of the job...free of course.

My shop did any loose piece I could throw at them for free with my bodykit work...

I did mine myself. VERY EASY to do. I didn't sand at all, just cleaned it REALLY well before I started. You want to primer, paint, and then clear coat it.....

17x8 Flik Lex with 205-40/17 Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's mounted, balanced, and shipped to the door cost me about $1050. Talk to Sacha at edgeracing.com (moderator on Wheel&Tire Forum). Tell him WillyWonka sent you. Check on their site's gallery under make and model (Toyota Celica of course) and click on the Lex (top photo) and you'll see my car with the wheels.
