Whats up everyone? Well...my username says my name... :blah:

I am currently in the process of enrolling for 10 years (and honestly probably 20 total) in the U.S. Air Force as a C-17 pilot. I'm currently a Certfied Flight Instructor, but its getting boring and too repetitive. Plus, theres NO job security in any aviation places Civil besides Flight Instructing...

So, I'm currently in the process of trading in my 2008 Civic Si w/navi for a 2002 Celica GT w/40k miles on it.

I also plan on getting after I recieve my sign-on bonus a 2005 or 2006 Mitsubishi Evo or Evo MR (depending on monthly pmt)...

The Celica is going to get lowered on springs/shocks with 18's. Body will stay stock minus the addition of the TRD action pkg.

The Evo however... is going to VERY FAR from stock... I live about 20 minutes from AMS (if you've never heard of them you live under a rock... www.amsperformance.com) and I plan on getting my Evo COMPLETELY built from them with there 2.1L stroker drag strip engine (revved to 10k rpm), AMS 850R turbo kit (power of a GT37R ; spool up of a GT35R), ams intake manifold w/dual fuel rails, Ohlins coilovers, etc... I'm looking to make around 750-800awhp and it will be my daily @$$ whooper / weekend warrior. The car should be completely built in about 1.5-2 years...

Sounds like good plans for the evo.

Seems like a big downgrade from an SI to the GT.

I would but my payments are way too high on the Si. I pay $450 a month for the Si.

Oh, and by the way... because the Si is drive by wire... there is LITERALLY NO TUNING SOLUTIONS for the car in the aspect of standalone's. KPro already said that they weren't going to have the 8th gen Civic on the top of there list of things to do, and may never come out with one because its so complicated. AEM EMS has expressed literally NO interest in making anything for the car, and really the only way is to spend $8k on a HalTec unit but who the hell wants to pay $8k for a standalone when its 3x the price of a supercharger or turbo kit for the damn car...

See... I have the money to put into the car...but i'd much rather get a car that I KNOW has a tuning platform. Plus, the Evo is just damn sexy, and i've wanted one since 2004. The GT is just a point A to B car with the exception of the few things I listed above i'll add to it... besides that... its all about the MPG's these days.

I'm also buying A LOT of stocks right now (sounds dumb right...just wait for a year...). My financial advisor said buy now and go into the negatives (as in you owe us more $$$) and then when the stocks go back up you'll be out of debt quick and you'll start raking in the $$$ .

Welcome to the forums.

Just as a heads up your plan is right on track to leave you with no money and huge debt (no matter what your financial dude says.)
