View Full Version : Goodbye Celi, Hello Honda CRV...

I traded my Celi in on a Honda CRV (2007 with only 5k miles on it, and only $17,900 so a good deal).

...After shipping body kit to Germany, lots of work, then shipping the Celi to AZ... such is life, I was ready to move on and get an AZ-style SUV.

If anybody's looking, the Celi is a 2005 GTS (one of the last) with only 26k miles on it, 6-speed, leather, Jintei-kam kit, CF hood, custom stereo, lots of Topshop and KennyH CF, etc... see it at the Sierra Vista AZ Toyota dealer.

The CRV is a nice ride, I'm getting used to it.
Eric

Prices are going to last like this only until the new president is chosen (at the most).

Its stupid to believe that they are going to keep going lower or stay like that for a long time.

I'm not too worried about gas prices, but the CRV gets mid-20s city, high 20s hwy, so it's not bad. Not like an FJ or a Hummer, also better than the Jeep rental I had.
Best thing is, I can go into all driveways, cross all speedbumps, jump curbs and park next to them without rim-scratch worries... and even drive up into the AZ canyons if I get an urge to.
I miss my Celi, but mainly just the memories of the flat Autobahns...

And if it's a Bimbo Box, at least for once my Bimbo is happy, Versus hating my car. And she's worth it.:fawk::gap:

where did I say they were going to keep going lower or stay like that??? BTW how do you know what the gas prices are going to do?? Oh that's right....you wouldn't know more than anyone else

gas prices are down because global demand is down due to the recession

but regardless, they're still $3.19/gallon on average - if you're fine with this, you're mental - when Bush took office, gas was $1.60/gallon - roughly HALF what it is now.

Decreasing supply plus increasing demand equals higher prices. Simple economics.

To the OP though, ouch...thats a rough transition.

You stated that gas prices are low now. Giving the idea that buying now an SUV or similar car is a good idea.

The prices are going to go up, for sure. And he would have been better of with a FIT. (probably, but depends on his needs).

Specially since the SUV will loose value even more with the gas prices coming back up.

And about how much I know... well, this is usually simple economics... since it is not some riced out honda... yeah, probably I must know more than you...

And after seeing your Resume on the net... I am guessing that 90% of the board knows more than you about anything.

lmao you mean my resume from my entrance into College??? 4 years ago?? Wow, try harder next time if you want to talk sh!t...

I don't know too many folk with hot stuff on their resume fresh out of highschool lmao...Sorry I didn't work for Cummins during highschool lol.

BTW I graduate in a few months, check back for that resume....it's littered with internships from Cummins, Pratt and Whitney and Turbocor...It's also pretty eerie you're surfing into my intro to engineering class website from 4 years ago...get a life

No, really, about the resume thing...
Surfing through a 3 pages web? It didnt take more than 2 minutes to read the whole thing.
Its not like I dont have a busy life already, but seriously, quotes like this ones made me laugh so hard that I just had to keep reading:

I have an uncle that I look up to almost as much as my very own father. He is a well-established man and he makes a lot of money.

I talked about how you tried to cover with nice words what was the job about, not the job itself...
And I meant your personality/mental age would not improve, not your life...

Ok, really, leave it as it is, you never seem to get it. Now you said what you wanted to, so lets go back to topic ok?

see now if you knew what the Resume was about you wouldn't have made reference to how I worded it...It was an assignment. The purpose was to not call a cashier job a cashier job. Not say you cleaned tables, but use other words. That was the goal of the assignment. And yea, we can get back to the topic, just stop scrolling through my website and trying to use it as a platform to talk trash when you don't know what it's about

I can't stand how everyone who has a baby immediately thinks they need an SUV or Minivan.

You can fit a family of 4 into a Camry, Accord, or hell, even a Civic or Corolla these days. We made due with my dad's 1984 BMW 5-series when I was growing up (thing was unkillable). I'm currently rocking the baby seat in the SI sedan.

I will say that a 4 door car makes life a lot easier than a coupe, even if the coupe has room, simply because, even with the latch system, getting the kid in the back is a PITA without four doors.

If I had to do it again, I'd probably just get a regular, mundane Civic and save some $ for a toy on the side, instead of trying to consolidate all into one.

I looked at the RAV4s also, we liked the exterior... but driving/inside, it felt like sitting in a bucket. Dash and doors all straight up slabs. I did not like it at all.

Consumer reports and motor trend actaully rate the forester above both

Meltica

I rate the Forester as UGLY. My sense of style demanded something attractive, especially following a Celica.
