S-AFC custom install ideas, and some s-afc questions ....

Hey guys, can anyone give me som install ideas or pics of where a good place to install the s-afc is in my 2000 celica gts? Also, can someone tell me what are the neg. and pos. of having an s-afc, and how much most shops would charge to install?

most people put it in the ash tray or the top sun glasses case

I cut a hole out of the sunglass case door and put it in there. I ran the wires through a hole in the back of the compartment. Best of all, I didn't lose any storage space, there's enough room behind the display to still hold my sunglasses. I'll post pix tomorrow.

The biggest negative of the SAFC is it voids just about any and all warranty you have on your car. If something "big" breaks on your car....you have to pay for a new wiring harness (the harness that runs through the entire engine bay) and have it replaced). It's about a $3,000 to $5,000 job you have to pay before they even fix your car. Don't believe me, I can think of at least 3 Celica owners I personally know who have gone through this. The pros, maybe a new extra HP...but at what cost?:rolleyes:

heh well I have 40,000 miles on my 2000 so warrenty is not an issue, but you do have a good point.
