Bragging/Lying just pisses me off...

SO,
I'm at Best Buy on friday afternoon. I park my GT-S at the far end of the lot and start walking towards the store whan some young kid (let's call him Joe Highschool) about 18 or so whips his GT-S around the corner, almost hits my car and parks diagonal next to me. I would have chewed him out but he's a Celi owner, so I let it go. I throw him the "nice car" and he asked if the other was mine, I said yeah. He starts telling me about the mods he did and that his turbocharger will be here next week. Hmmm, I bit. "So, where are you getting the turbo setup from?" He said he ordered the Blitz turbo package a month ago and he was going to put it in after it gets it next week. I asked him how much this kit he ordered was (playing dumb) and he kinda stammered. I said "I heard it was going for like $6K" He then said yeah, but he had an inside friend so he was getting it for $5500. I asked if he was on NewCelica and he was like "What is that?" I told him and he said he's been here but never visits our site. Sounded to me like he visited enough to read that Blitz had an upcoming kit. Enough to give him some BS to brag about. :bs:
I hate these people. I should have asked him what he does for a living to get all this stuff....

I'm not too sure about that...you almost have to though to get out of that damn parking lot!! You ever down in my neck of the woods?? The car scene in Allentown has really picked up this year. Suprising how many respectably modded cars are on the road as compared to the guys with unpainted bodykist mounted on their rusted out sentra se-r's!! :ugh: :rolleyes:

He asked me what year mine was...I said 00 and he was kinda like ohhh, looking down. I wonder if it was an 02 (I don't think he was old enough to drive had he got an 00 new)

00 is faster than 02 anyway....you should've asked if he knew the fuel cut change. Shiet I'd rubbed it in more and more until he like "freeze" and start to stammer a lot. I hate those freakin kids.. this happened to me on my base. Some kid came up to me and asked me if I wanted to buy off his RMM front strut bar and RMM short ram. I played dumb and asked how much he was selling it for. He then said, "yeah um RMM front strut retails at $350 so I will let it go for $250 and the RMM short ram retails at $300 so I will give it to you for $175. As soon as he said that shiet, I said, "so where did you get those frum?" He was like this place called power house online.... I just had to let this phucka have it.. You got it from Bottle I see.... I guess I am gonna have to call him to ask him why he had to jack up his RMM prices, look man, go try that shiet somewhere else fooo... have you ever heard of a site called NC.ORG? He said.....(stammered)..uh..um.. no... I said, you know maybe you should go visit the site and you will learn not to try to rob another Celica owner. He then tries to be all coo and asked me where I got my exhaust from. I said, I got this straight from Titanmotorsports, BOTTLE, our site sponsor....ummmm duh..

when i was at work one day, one of my friends came up to me and asked me what my car ran in the 1/4 mile and what the top speed was. i told him i never ran the 1/4 or tried to max out, but from what i know gt-s 6-speed run the 1/4 anywhere from 14.5-15.5 and top speed was 135-140. apparently someone told him that he ran the 1/4 mile in 12 seconds and reached a speed of 160 in the 1/4 mile. i couldnt believe it. he said that the only thing the guy had done to his auto gts was a new muffler. i told him to call bs next time he started talking about his car.

Reaching a speed of 160 in ANY distance or condition (short of being driven off of a cliff:ugh: ) is about ridiculous. Yeah, just because your speedo goes up to a certain speed, it doesn't mean that your car will ever get close to it. Well, except for my TSi...150mph...damn close. Some guys g/f asked me in a blockbuster parking lot one night,"Nice car, what does your speedometer go up to?" About 2x as high as I would need it to be in order to bury you!!! :)

More stories, It's fun to have a good laugh.

We were having a "meet" of sorts in a Mall parking lot this February , and some guy in a Civic, that sounded like a fart machine comes up.

It actually was pretty clean looking, yellow nice paint, and some konig tantrums on .

So we get to talking and he says, oh I've got it blue printed and balanced and I have XX nitrous shot...

I don't race anymore because all I wanted to do was get into the 11's.........

So he got into the 11's with a Civic,, "COULDA BEEN SI" *who really knows*

His wheels were 18's and I asked him if he got into the 11's with those rims and street tires to which he replied "yup".

Then he says , yeah I don't even bother with imports anymore, I just look for domestics to race.

A few weeks ago "Billy Highschool" (joe's brother I guess) pulls up next to me with a VW GT-I (like a late 90's) with 19's on it (I asked). I must admit, it was attractive and for the most part tastefully done (rare for a High School kid) so I commented on them. He thanked me and then said he had I/E and some other performance stuff ordered to improve his 0-60 time. I glanced at the rims again (which now looked about 50 lbs heavier to me than they did the 1st time I looked) and just kinda chuckled. I love the "Larger diameter = better all around performance" theory that is constantly thrown all over the place.

I had the exact person saying exact same thing but from HKS....
He said that there is HKS turbo kit for Celica... and doesn't know what is NC.org
Hmm.. weirld.... I believe this place would be the first to know IF there is anykind of such turbo kit for Celica.....
