If this belongs in the For Sale Forum, move it...My friend from college is selling his fully modified A4 on ebay..Check it out if you're in the market, it's a pretty sick car...Neuspeed K-04 upgraded turbo, body kit, 2 sets rims, tons more...He's selling it cause he just bought a Dinan M3...I've driven it myself and it's a phat car to say the least..check it out..

How much did he over pay for the M, and what dinan mods does it have? Oh, and this A4, does it have the quattro or no?

He's never raced it that I know of so no quarter mile times..but Ive driven it and let me tell you that the boost is pretty intense and enough to break the wheels loose with ease...its a lot faster than my gt :-(

In terms of the Dinan its I believe a 97, he bought it off one of his friends and got a really good deal on it cause his friend was getting rid of it for a new M3...I dont remember word for word but I believe it has all stage 2 upgrades if there is such a thing..Its got all Dinan mods except for the supercharger...Putting it at I think 315 hp...Whether or not those numbers are true or teenage exagerration is a whole nother story...

In my experience the Dinan performance parts have only two advantages.
1. Some of them, like TRD parts, are available dealer installed with a warranty.
2. Everyone THINKS Dinan makes great parts and everyone KNOWS they are expensive so it makes a great image car.

Dinan does have stages on the E36 M3, three stages on suspension and two on supercharger and it looks like they now have 5 on the ECU. BUT...even using Dinan's figures with everything they offer you only get up to 260 crank HP (from 240)unless you add the syupercharger. And you have to remember you are talking about a $1000 exhaust (which is just a stock exhaust with one of the interior baffles removed), a $400 intake, wheels that go for $899 EACH!, a suspension system that is NOT adjustable for $1400, a throttle body for $300 a MAF for $700+ after the installation kit is purchased and god forbid you are dumb enough to go for the $1700 clutch. Rip-off plain and simple.

A '97 M3 is a great car, as long as it is a Coupe and not a Sedan and it's got tons of potential I just can't see myself wasting the money on any Dinan equipment. For the price of the clutch alone you can buy a set of cams and get them installed and be making nearly as much power as the supercharged Dinan.

Be prepared with some extra cash though, I've heard those things are about as reliable as a late model RX-7. With those mods I'd expect the risk to increase. Oh well, as long as it's not your daily :)

In terms of how much the parts are, his friend came from a wealthy family and pretty much got what he wanted...he also had AC Schnitzers on it which as you know arent cheap either...the parts are also under warranty cause he had them put in at a dealership that had an inhouse DINAN shop similar to TRD....now that youve listed some of the stuff im remembering, hes got the MAF sensor, throttle body, intake, exhaust, chip, and perhaps more...I have yet to see it cause he cant put it on the road until he sells his old car, but like I said, the HP numbers were probably on the "teenage curve" meaning that they are exaggerated...his friend claimed to have had it dyno'ed but who knows..

Overpriced and very cocky customer service.
