45 Offset?

Is this too much offset with a two inch drop and 18's? What is the ideal offset for celica's? I'll be running 215/35 18-7.5.

I am running 215/40/18. My offset is 35. I'm on ground controls so I sit pretty low. I rub on my outer rear fender, and I had to roll it. With a 45 offset the wheel will not stick out as much as mine so you should be OK. I originally wanted a 42 offset because I was so low but they sent a 35 and I got tired of waiting. When I asked about it on this board, people say the celica can take up to a 48 offset. Hope this helps...

I ran a 45mm offset when I had 18x7.5 rims with 215/35s and had no problems with the Tanabe Super Down drop. You should be perfectly fine.

Thanks for your replies. I would get a 40 offset just to be safe, but the wheels i want only come in 45.
