if you buy an ebay intake you still need to change the filter to aem/k&n etc. The ebay filters suck. Dont quote me on this but an after market filter may be around $50

I wouldn't "plan" on bbmodding anything. First off my personal experience, and second hand experience, says that you will not have any bogging or CEL issues. Secondly, you shouldn't do the bb mod UNTIL you have bogging issues. The bb mod negates a large part of the reason for intakes (especially sri) so you shouldn't do it unless you NEED to fix how your MAF is reading.

i bought a sri a while back and it makes it sound pretty nice and i did see a bit of a change on the gas mileage but nothing impressing but its a nice mod if ur in a budget..

def. do it. Most piping is the same as the more expensive brands, and like mentioned before ebay filters are crap. Just use the piping and hardware and buy a brand name filter and your set. Def. search around on the site, there are plenty of people who have done this exact same thing before.

Could be useless to try it...
But if you do get bogging/cel I would try the rrgts mod first.

if you don't have to worry about emissions, i think the ebay intake and a high quality filter are the way to go. That seems to be the consensus in the majority of the posts i have read as well.

hmmm... is it worth getting the ebay intake or just getting a branded intake? and what are some problems that i might encounter since people are posting some problems they had

its worth getting an Ebay intake because it supplies you with all you need for a WHOLE lot cheaper price than a name brand one.
If you get one, all you need to do is buy a better filter and your set. I might add though that the Bomz kit off of Ebay gives you a decent filter, but still get a replacement.

That seems to be the consensus in the majority of the posts i have read as well.Actually, it's CARB (only in CA) that will have emissions issues, since every aftermarket engine part needs a CARB approval sticker. The rest of the country won't see any emissions issues with any regular intake, including eBay ones.

dont do the rrgts. The silicone moves, and you dont want any part of that. Back to the stock box until something else comes along I assume

dont give up on the rrgts lol really as long as it stays in the pipe it wont matter cause your still restricting the flow...try some double sided tape

I dont know about you dude but I would rather not have a piece come loose and then jam the throttle body and cause issues. Needs some mroe thought before its worth while. So sorry
