INTEREST? NEW C60 with TRD LSD

Hey guys I'm considering swapping my tranny with a MR2 E153.

I have C60 with 3k miles on it. All new gears, syncros, and trd helical lsd installed by Smaay. These miles are very light because I was breaking the motor in and never lauching it hard nor beating on it.

I see tranny's going for $1300 used without the LSD.

Could I get $2k for it?

in my opinion, unless you lost you job because your company is going under the resession really hasnt effected anyone I know, nor has it effected me or my family. just seems weird how people assume EVERYONE is crawling in the dirt.

just asking because i believe the pre 02 shift gates were nice and close to each other. it doesnt really matter to some. g/l with the sale.

to who ever is thinking twice about this deal, you really shouldnt. this is a very nice deal. this transmission is practically brandnew and already broken in. having a new transmission with LSD will make a world of a difference if you have a transmission thats going out or thinking of buying an lsd. think abou it, you have a new transmission with lsd and all the trouble of installing a lsd is done. the labor alone of putting a lsd is $$$. also coming from a source such as smaay and brad is reliable. purchase with confidence on this deal. you cant go wrong on this.

The rebuild costs plus parts alone would be more than what this is selling for, so no matter how you stack it up it's a good deal.

Maybe mid January I can get this if it hasn't sold. Too close to holidays and between checks, etc.

I dunno if any of you have run into this but I cant find anyone around my town to install a LSD on a c60. They always say no. I dont know what is so different about a c60 opposed to other lsd installs but around Charlotte and Raleigh at least nobody will take the job. So if I ever want a lsd I have to go some route such as this one.

A couple of questions - does going from a C59 to a C60 mess up the Speedo? What happened to the tranny the first time around? I've thought about going from the C59 to the short gears on the C60 but am debating the benefits.

The tranny had its usual syncro issues and while installing the LSD I decided to rebuild the box with all new parts.

Im not sure what issues you will have coming from a C59

So, does it have the updated syncros from Toyota? They update the 3rd, 4th and what not other syncros with updated part numbers because they tend to grinde, did you use the updated ones?

a brand new c60 is $1950. A new TRD LSD is $699 the installation for the LSD is $500 min.
