man.. i just got everything copied over and the new forum all setup..it was all nice, then I opened it for the public and it went kappoey.. the server admin says their server cant handle nc.org.. go figure.. they just now decided to tell me the server is only a Pentium 450.. my home pc is better.. damn them..

anyhow i need to keep looking now for a new host.. i have this nice new software (VBulletin) but i have no place to put it..it wont work on this server (NT BOX) its written in PHP.. anyone know of anything good??

I was looking at Honda-Acura.net who runs VBulletin and I found their host..
http://www.planetz.net/hosting/index.html

Im prolly gonna give them a call in the afternoon and see if they can come up with a good plan for us.. find out what honda-acura has going on since it seems to be perty fast most of the time..

Yeah I tried the server didn't really like the appearance of it though, guess it would take time to tget used to it. It went down pretty fast though like 2 mins after being active.

No, just set up your own Server computer at an ISP on their T3 connection. It's called a Colo and you just use PC anywhere or Telnet to it to edit stuff.

I have 2 of my domains hosted at CIHost, they're prices aren't that bad if you get one of their specials, and its not a little mom and pop shop ISP that doesn't know what they are doing...

Might be worth checking them out.

would anyone be interested in sub domains.. like say you get 10 megs of space for 50 bucks a year.. basically you would have a domain entitled something like
www.larryd.newcelica.org (http://www.larryd.newcelica.org) where as larryd would be whatever your username is with the amount of 10 megs to be alloted for pictures or whatever you wanna put online..

If I could get enough people to prepay then I may have found another site as well..
