hey guys im trying to help my lil bro wit this celica project... i donno much about celicas but he wants to go with a supercharger and he was lookin at greddy supercharger
so my question is whats all will he need for a build
and id like to know more info about that intercooler option for greddy kit
also how many problems ppl had with a greaddy e-mange since alot of hondas and dsm's have alot of trouble with that and they have to go with handata or dsmlike for dsm's
thanks guys

Hmm, maybe the previous owner got a tranny swap. Pop the hood and see what engine is in there. Unless the prev. owner swapped the engine cover to a VVTL-i one, it should let you know which engine it is. VVT-i is a "GT" and VVTL-i is a "GTS". Go try to hit lift, if it engages (like VTEC), it is a 2zz (GTS).....
You can also check the rear brakes and see if they're disc brakes (GTS). The tach should show redline around 8400 rpm if it's a GTS. What other differences are there? I'm sure someone else can chime in and add to my list...
Note: Both GT and GTS cars had the action package option from the factory...

if it looks like this, its a 2ZZ.

you only have 1 option right now for a GT which is a TRD supercharger though its not a kit. you need to search on here for some very old threads. it will require piecing allot together and having a shop that knows toyo's to get it to work from what i recall. it also wont fit under the current hood so you need the AIT supercharger hood (TRD hood)
I have been thinking of taking the greddy unit chopping off the old intakemanifold flane and welfing a 1zz flange on there. Either that or develop my own manifold around an Eaton M90.

ProChargers are similar to the Rotrex SCs in style. They make kits for certain applications, but there is no premade kit for the Celica.
I don't really see why a Rotrex wouldn't work... I mean, the plastic runners hold up on turbos, right?

for the money spent I would just get a really big turbo kit and call it a day. There is to much money involved in a supercharger/rotrex setup for a GT. They make a supercharger kit for my app and now 2 years and **** load of money later I wish i just would have spent the money and got a big turbo kit. Just my opinion take it with a gain of salt. Good luck with what ever you decide.

I just want to mention we have plenty of the GReddy sc kits in stock. No intercooler is possible but the sc is great for those who want a simple setup and 220-230 whp and good torque.

can the greddy kit be applied on to a gt auto??..
would there be a good performance increase??
does the car has be fairly new?? as my car has around 160k on it with stock internals..

Honestly, you're just asking for trouble.

CNC a flange for your setup weld it on slap on a standalone you would be set
That's basically what I am thinking of doing, cutting the 1zz flange off and having a 1zz flanged water jetted for me. My only concern is the relation of the ports on a 1zz/2zz. If the 2zz's arn't lines up the same you're SOL and need to mock up a complete manifold to place the runners correctly for the 1zz.
