Good Bye Celica

well it has been fun. I wanted to say thanks to all the people that have helped me work on my celica and to 2way for trying to help my P0300 problem. I was able to get a great deal on a 2006 Altima SER with only 15,XXX miles on it. My sister works at a nissan dealership and I was able to get everything at cost. I did not trade in the celica but my parents will when they want another car. Word of advise to the celica GT people find a wrecked celica GTS and do the brake conversion. Other than that do not mod it :). I spent way to much for nothing. btw Bose rules!

iv heard good things about the newer altimas. as long as your happy with the new car, thats all that matters. i hope you mean Bose car stereos, i'v never ran into a good Bose home theater system that was worth a crap. dont worry, we'll still have ya around if you drive a nissan;)

thanks haha. I do like it a lot and you're right that is all that matters. I enjoy this feeling of torque :). It is big but I am ok with that. I am working on my masters in engineering and the celica just seemed not to fit me anymore as it was. Yup I have Bose speakers in the car!

Nice job. That is where I started :) GL on the GT. If I was in florida, I would offer somebody a straight trade, with some cash, for the GTS brakes on my GT.

Side note: I love the 6-speed transmission shift gates. It is just like a 5 speed but with 6th instead of R. To get to reverse you have to pull a nob on the shifter to into R. I only say that because I can not see anyone every misshifting with this style.

Gonna be putting the 6 speed on my GT soon since my tranny is on its way out. Also would have loved the brakes from your car since I havent done mine yet.

The front brakes alone are enough to stop that 140hp tower of power that the 1zz puts out.

Hey Zero, doing the brake conversion is an appearance mod but it is well worth it. One could make the same argument about the GTS does it really need rear disks? I am not trying to argue. Plus we all know what a torque monster the 1zz is :gap:. haha

I will get pics soon! I really do enjoy this car, I love the 3.5 engine!
