Shaved Door Handles??

I was wandering if anyone had a pic of a celica w/ shaved door handles...i'm thinkin bout gettin it done and wanted to see how it looked any opinions?

I think it loks sweet. There are pictures on this board of people that have done it already. I just don't think I would do it without a remote door actuator to get it open. Installing a remote window opener to reach around and let myself in is not "very pimp". (The phrase "not too pimp" is used for effect as opposed to actually conferring positive qualities unto pimps, pimping, or pimpology).

literally having the same shaved door handle convo yesterday w/ my friend....i think it's on my list as well............

If you do get it done, I would highly recommend you get solenoids. Otherwise, you are going to look really ghey reaching in your window to open the door.

One point of advise. I used to install stuff like that (10 years) make sure the installer puts a emergency pull cable somewhere if you get the trunk lock taken out.

You know something is going to go wrong (remote goes bad, car battery dies) in the middle of a rain or snow storm and you are in the middle of no where and can not get in the car.

to baldhead: yea of course i'm gonna get the remote popper to pop the door open... i ain't gonna look stupid reachin in the windows.

to mongoose: yea thats the one thing i was worryin bout if there was an emergency thing in case the battery dies or somethin... i'll be sure to tell him to put an emergency cable.. thanx.

one more thing.....when i asking the same question about a 3-4 weeks ago.....some1 told me that, i can't go to the track when i have shaved handle due to the fact that it might be a serious danger.....and that the track can't/wont let u run.....so i'm not going to do it:(

I have never heard that before. Why would the track say something like that? Maybe because they wouldn't be able to get you out of the car in the case of an accident? Just a thought...

As you all know, they make you run with your windows up. In the event of a crash, with the windows up and you unconsious, there would be no means of getting the door(s) open to safely get you out of the vehicle. I'm not sure if that is true (they they wont allow you to run) but if not, im almost certain thats the reason why.
