well i had this kit for awhile and like i stated before i never installed it on my other celica cuz i totaled it before i could...so i did a test fit on my black one today.. my original plan was to just paint them black but after i saw the C/f rear trd lip from extreme dimensions...i decided i want to go that route... but since i have no luck and they already sold them i think i might send it to top shop and have it wrapped... as for my side i want to paint them black and have a c/f splitter under it :) but anyway my kit has a few things bothering me and i want some advice if i should make it perfect or if im just being paranoid.... there are a few nicks, skuffs, and small things like gaps and i think if i use 3m tape i should be fine...but anyway of to the pics....

I know the TRD kit has 3m tape to mount the kit on to the car along with screws. the 3m tape should help with those gap issues your having. Also im assuming its fiberglass? It just has to be worked with to get to fit is all. That crack in the skirt can be fixed as well but other than that it looks good

weather stripping would help cover some of those gaps. the cf splitters will not sit flush with the sides.

hows that?
you dont think these will go well with a c/f trd rear lip and seibon front c/f lip?
any other opinions? or would it look better to just wrap the sides in c/f also?
For the rear, did you have someone help you mount it? Looks like it can take a little more pressure; have someone push it in a bit while you get the drill and drill in the screws. What really concerns me is the way the ends of the rear lip sit like that. I've never noticed it before, but it there supposed to be such a huge gap between the stock bumper and TRD lip, replica or not?
IMO, just get a CF front lip. Having the other pieces in CF will just make you even more worried.

those sideskirts are flush from the bottom. who do you think took those pics :gap: we tried putting them on trd/ww sides and they wouldn't look good. but if you want to be the first then go ahead :gap:

those cf splitters are so nice. but imo, they are WAY to thick.

As previously stated, the 3M would help with fitment. Also, i'm sure they could fix that unsightly crack in the rear lip with bondo, etc. Looks good!

im actually thinking of selling my kit and getting an authentic one...so i have no fitment issues... also i want to wrap the rear in c/f and have side splitters... i also think they are a little thick so ill check to see if there are thinner ones or maybe a all c/f kit is in order

He's right -- my TRD Elegant kit came with screws and 3M body adhesive tape. It also came with a rubberized gasket that sits between the aero kit and the body of the car for a 100% flush appearance. Let me know if you want to see a picture for comparison.

Ive got a AIT TRD front, mine took some shaving and wat not but it fits great now. Little russling around it will work out. as far as the CF idea. kit it out the door. having a CF kit would have you nervous to do anything. IMO cf kits are for show, not your daily driver
