ah, there u go, I guess u can deal with 00blackGTS
00blackGTS, my halo headlights stated that they're not compatible with HID. Do you have HID for it? Do you know how to take the projectors out from the housing?

No unfortunately I don't have HID, and I don't believe it is possible.. maybe if you modded it??:shrugs: but I am pretty sure the Halo's are incompatible, luckily I like the way the halo's look over the stock housing.. Also I don't know what kind of temperatures the Halo projectors can take, so HID if you could mod it to fit, it might actually melt the housing, which may be why they used such small bulbs, (if you look at them they are much smaller than h7's) in the projector.

^ yeah, I knew that they use the H1 over H7. That's y I was wondering if I could swap the projectors which could handle better heat. =/
I love the look of the halos headlights too... hopefully the light output is good enough when I get the nokya/sylvana superwhite bulbs then I dont have to worry about the HID... even tho I really want it to be so. I even bought a pair of 6000k bulbs of H7 to improve visibility. Guess I might have to put that aside.

yeah, I mean I would love to have some 6k HID's or something but if it is a big hassle i might just leave how is and get some sylvanias aswell or something
celi_24 this guy is selling a newer set of oem headlights for $125 http://newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?t=290818 I believe he is closer to you as well so shipping would be cheaper than from me.. his are also newer and a bit clearer from looking at the pics..

^ this is what forum pple for. There are guys like this that would hook u up with deals that's best for you even if it meant that they just lose themselves a deal. celi_24, u better get on it before someone else does.
00blackGTS: I don't mind do a lil bit of mod for the headlights to accept the HID H1 bulbs but like u said, the housing itself might not withstand the heat from HID bulbs... sigh...
So sad that the current set of carbon fiber halos HID headlights with TSX projectors and phillips bulbs cost around 800. Else we might benefit from that.

^ Yeah I was actually checking to see if that guy had anything that I was interested in, and saw those for cheaper than I was gonna sell for lol, but hey whatever.
Yeah I was contemplating trying out putting HID's in the Halos.. I have just been down the last 5 months with school and no knee surgery, so no work, and that means no money, which equals no HID's :(... if I do get some I really hope it doesn't melt the housing though.

I guess I gotta do some research on the housing...
which part will melt? The clear plastic? or the black plastic...
I'm thinking about swapping the clear plastics over... if I can't swap the projectors

^ sorry to go off topic and take your thread kinda celi_24..
uhm i would think if anything the black housing of the projector would melt.. however this is all just speculation as I don't know if it even would.. for all I know it could have a pretty high melting point? I just don't want to assume and get melted headlights ya know?

Thanks for the link guys, but the ones in that post state that the driver's side hl has "a little fog" which is why i want a new one because my drivers side hl is currently fogged up, lol.
00blackGTS: pm me with a price shipped to 61350. Would you be will 2 sell just the drivers side? Also, it needs to be in good condition with NO fogging, lol. Sorry, but fogged lights/lights with condensation are a HUGE pet peeve of mine.

I heard u can fix that issue by putting it into the oven =d
I'm NOT SURE... so you gotta do some research on that...
it's basically u'll reseal the headlight...
I sold my old/fog/yellow driverside headlights off becuz it was in the worst state i've ever seen when I got the car. Now that i knew of lots of way to make it better... I felt bad that I wasted money buying another one. =/

I c, then u can either sell off the old headlight or keep it in case.
Also, if u decided to sell it, let me know, I might be able to use it to test out the headlight project.

Uhm.. I have never sold anything so uhm I guess I would just have to go to the post office and find out how much shipping is right? I would rather not sell just one but we will talk.. what year is your celica as mine is a 00 and they revised the headlights in 03 I believe.. if yours has the revised headlights you may want to buy both so they match.. I need to check them out before I sell them anyways, as they have been in my basement for about a year and I want to make sure they don't have any fog or anything, they didn't when I took them out but it is very wet here.. I will pm you friday or saturday.

here's a deal for you
http://www.newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?t=288281&page=2
as for 00blackGTS
do not go to the post office.
Get online: www.usps.com, www.ups.com and estimate the dimension of the box for the item. Register with them too so you get member discount. In the long run, ANYTHING you ship out will be less than that of post office.
I've seen myself shocked at the huge difference in price online and in reality. It's not the same until they tell you how much it really is, so save urself the trouble and manage the shipping cost yourself.

oh i see. my driver side is just about perfect I think it may have been replaced on my car before I bought it, as the passenger side seemed very weather worn compared to it. good luck on getting the hl problem fixed.
