adjusting headlights

i just got some new headlights and when i got em put i realized they are way too low.. i've tried adjusting them but when i turn the knob it doesnt do anything.. has anyone else had this happen?? and any suggestions on how to fix this would be great

It's hard to tell what the problem is based on your description. Are you sure that you are adjusting it correctly? You should be using a philips head screw driver to spin the metal gear-like knob on each headlight. Also, most shops will inspect and adjust your lights for $15-25, may want to look into that if you still have no luck.
