Speaker Depth?

Hi everyone,

I've done a search and I haven't found much regarding the maximum speaker depth for the front and rear stock locations.

Does anyone have exact measurements on allowable speaker depth for aftermarket speakers?

i suppose that depends on how far out the speakers are mounted. the factory bracket sets the speaker way out from the door. im not sure if an uber deep speaker is gonna get in the way of the window coming down, that would be my only concern really. ive got infinity reference speakers in my doors and theres plenty of clearance behind them. if you can find the depth of those online, that might give a little hint. ill try and find the depth myself if you cant. oh theyre 6.5" s

i think front depth with no spacers on front is like 3 1/4 inches. rear doesnt matter, you arent going to find 6.5 speakers that are going to be 7 or 8 inches mounting depth. get a set of spacers, and you can virtually mount any speakers you want
