First of all Im not posting this to try to hurt his reputation I just wanted to bring this matter to the attention of the mods and the rest of the members of newcelica.
In mid october I paid R K E 1 C A for a prototype of the C One hood knock off that Vis sells. It was supposed to be the new redesigned model that had the fitment issues fixed. I paid him in two payments of 300 dollars plus paypal fees so the total came out to $624.62 He shipped using greyhound and supplied me with the tracking number and somehow the package got lost between California and Pennsylvania. I contacted Ray and greyhound numerous times and told Ray that it was his duty to file a lost package claim with Greyhound which is what Greyhound told me to tell him. Im not sure if he ever filed the claim because his communication with me became very spotty after this point. He hasnt logged onto the site since Jan 3 and isnt replying to any of my texts. So now Im left with no hood and out of 600 dollars. I have all the proof of my purchase. The paypal receipts for the two payments and all of the PMs between Ray and I have been saved. Im hoping he sees this and posts here because I would like to have this issue resolved. 600 dollars is a large amount for a college kid who only works part time.
If anyone knows him personally or could help me out in any way i would appreciate it greatly.
Thanks
Adam

You're not the only one who's dealing with issues with him these days. There are a few other feedback posts on here, and I will be making a new one. I don't think anyone has heard from him. He pretty much hasn't come here other than to bump his for sale threads (good luck new buyers!) and a post about him being busy at work.

My transaction started at the beggining of novemeber. Never once did he say anything about family problems either. He said he was busy with work though. The least he could do is reply to my texts and let me know whats up.

He never mentioned anything about family problems to me, not that it's necessarily my business. In fact, he mentioned several times that the cause for his delays were because of being busy at work. And, as of right now, his last post here on this site says he hasn't been on here much because of work. But I DID ask him for a refund early in the game before he even shipped the hood. From my perspective, he seems to have told different stories to different people. It's pretty hard for me to tell at this point which stories were true (all, none, some???).
My ultimate point is that regardless of whatever is going on in his personal life, be it work, family health issues, etc.... he apparently doesn't have the time to follow through with recent transactions. He's ticked several people off, myself included. And at least up until a few weeks ago, he still had enough time to come here and bump his for sale threads to attract more buyers (but NOT enough time to ship the parts he's already been paid for, or dealing with shipping damage and a lost package, and who knows what else). Seems he's had the time to sell and take people's money, but not the time for anything else. If he doesn't have the time to follow through with transactions, he should hold off trying to sell anything, finish the transactions he does have, and try selling again when he has the time again.

He ought to be blocked from selling until he fixes his current transactions if that is at all possible.

Bump for an update:
make sure to read R K E 1 C A's most recent public post here:
http://www.newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?t=293336
Looks like he's still trying to say he's "busy," that buyers know how to contact him if there's a problem (isn't that what people have already tried to do???) and that it's a receiver's responsibility to file a claim for insurance damage (this has nothing to do with my claim, and he can't use this excuse for my circumstance, because I already filed the claim with the shipper). My issue with him is that he failed to put insurance on my package and the shipping company only reimbursed me a small portion of what I payed for it.
What ticks me off the most is he seems to be passing the blame on to his buyers for failing to notify him of any issues!

I wonder why he is handling the prototypes from Vis?

I don't know, but he's giving VIS a bad reputation.
I sent him a PM yesterday (2-13-09). We'll see if he bothers to respond. For once, his PM box was not full and I could actually send him a message. His last visit was 2-13-09, so it will be interesting to see if he can "find the time" in his incredibly busy life to be able to respond. I'm sure he could find the time if I was actually going to give him more $$$.

NOONE is that busy that they can't find ONE minute to respond.
Plus he logs on here, so clearly he has the time. Good luck you guys..
