Got my Erebuni kit last week, and the rear apron is smashed over the space for the exhaust.. i`m gutted.. can`t believe it'd happen to me.. It came all the way from the US to the agent in Ireland then to me, and managed to get destroyed in the process.
A warning to all : shippers can be bast**ds.. they can SMELL stuff like this and must damage it deliberatly.
Thing is though, the rear piece is pretty horrible looking.. it`s a "stick-on" piece.. not a replacement.. and i don`t know alot about the subject, but putting something over the existing body is asking for trouble.. are they for real? It's just going to look like a bit of fibre-glass stuck over the original body!! ie: total crap!
i'm sending it back anyway, and i don`t think i`ll be needing a replacment piece, just a refund i think..
the front piece is savage.. big grilles all round (type 063) and i can`t wait to get it on.. although i`d like to avoid the side-pieces in the kit since they are of the "stick over" variety also and are of inferior finish to the front piece - full of tiny holes/pockmarks for some reason..
anyway... something to keep in mind, if the kits can`t handle bieng shipped, what chance do they have on the vehicle??
grr!!
[coming soon - the good bit fitted & Blue Batmobile Brows & TRD grafix..]

A stick-on kit? Never heard of that before...I would send it back though and get your money back. They might make you keep the side pieces though.

I think what he meant to say by "stick on" is like a valence, where you dont replace the whole rear bumper, you just place the piece over the stock bumper (such as the TRD one and the WW one), and i BELIEVE a lot of side skirt or even all of the side skirts go over the stock ones, and stick/screw into the body (on the sides). Correct me if I'm wrong.

Stay away from the dreaded Eribuni. You will probably have to make some custom brackets just to hang the front and rear --- and I would send the kit back and get it all replaced or get my dough back.

Yeh, thats what i mean.. they clip on over the existing part.. very messy where they meet the car body, uneven, messy.. gappy..
But there's more!!
We tried the Front piece on for size.. and it`s a Joke. Make one piece flush and another pops out, and this is Fibreglass here, not plastic, so that Will not do..
The Fogs would have to be relocated, a new rail made for them and so on, NOT part of my plans.. No way to mount the Fogs on the _kit_ of coarse, they have to be supported from the carbody, so messy there since the Fog-holes in the kit are a good 8 inches out from where the Stock Bumper allows space for them..
Okay, so lets imagine i Make new mounts for the fogs, and somehow pull a miracle of bending to get the Whole Bumper flush with the car - at least even gaps will do for me, that then leaves me with a 4-5 inch gap arount the edges of the kit underneath the car and in the front of the wheel arches!!? I`d have to make a new Cover to stop water filling the engine and climbing up my CAI everytime it gets wet!!
Have a look at your wheel arch at the front, see where it meets the front bumper? It goes all around the rim of the bumper underneath too, and thats the problem, the Erebuni kit overshoots it by 4 inches below and around to a max of 6 inches where the front bumper flares at the bottom of the wheel arch!
Should i expect all this? Is this right? Sure we all like a challenge, but this is taking the piss! I'd even go to all the trouble of making a new cover, probably, but the kit just does not fit.
It`s going back alright.
Oh yes.
And i have a Bunch of Photographs of us trying to get it on too.. This has been a VERY messy experience.
I now Hate Bodykits.

this is exactly why I chose the buddy club....full bumpers (no gaps around the lips)....the only way i'ld ever get a kit that is only lips, is if i planned on getting them molded.

The RMM kit has no gaps, at least not in mine, I have that kit and I have no gaps on the front lip or the rear valance, then again they are screwed on and double sided tape......

thats the way all most every fiberglass replica kits are....you just gotta work with it... i bought new fogs, made new brackets, made the bumper fit, fiberglassed in some extra length to it so that the plastics met the fiberglass
such is the life of the cheaper replica kits
