Twp things you might want to address,
1. Your placement of the return line fitting probably isn't the best location, I've seen a car at the track that had it placed in the same location have the hose bust open when his tire blew out. I'd probably have that fitting in the back of the pan a few inches above the drain plug location. (Turbo 2zz for 4 years so I know a lil summin ;) )
2. In the same pic, seems like you're developing a leak from your water pump, might want to check it out.
Good luck with the install and happy boosting.

The oil line is fine. It's been through a lot of hard track days.
After installing the manifold make sure to zip-tie the oil lines away; I forgot, and ended up on the side of the road once the oil pump seized.

The water pump has a "weep hole" that indicates when the pump is beginning to leak. You get that red/pink crusty stuff developing at the weep hole (just as in your pic) At this point, it won't drip on your driveway, but is a sign that you should consider changing it soon.

Nothing causes it. It's just a sign of the pump wearing out. The internal seal isn't sealing anymore.
Any water pump that has that red/crusty stuff would be changed under warranty if covered....dunno about the turbo being involved though, never encountered that while i was working for toyota :)

what can go wrong on a water pump ?

dude..Moving parts = wearing parts. :) When the water pump leaks, it get's replaced. It's not a leaking gasket, it's internal to the water pump.

dumb question but the crusty waterpump buildup leaks are going to be the same color as my coolant, correct? I ask because I long ago switched off that pink stuff to standard green and i've got a lot of miles on my original pump. I've never noticed any of that buildup yet.

You might as well get it checked out while you have everything apart. Last thing you want to do is remove everything for something you were already aware of....

good luck. I went to Tapp Auto off of Merivale and then took a Japanese guy in Toronto who was apprently a Celica/PowerFC expert. They both were a total waste of hundreds of dollars each. Both of them tuned it too lean etc so I had severe knock problems. Tapp Auto looked much more into Volkswagen and Honda. I would not take my Celica to anyone who hasn't tuned a Celica before. I guess it is worse that mine is a GT-S also.
I ended up taking it to Monkey Wrench Racing in Detroit for the weekend where he installed my 3" stainless exhaust, a wideband gauge and tuned it. Perfect tune and very professional guy. Well worth the drive!
Good luck. I hope yours gets tuned well!

You must be talking about Yoshio. He's better for Subaru and tends to cost and arm and a leg to do installs. That's why I learned what I could from here and tuned my own car. I had help with the learning curve from Jesse and the stickys.

^^^ yeah it was yoshio @ Japanese Automotive. Total waste of about $700. brought it in knocking and it was knocking with less hp when I picked it up and he still charged me!
I figured since he drives a Celica with a PowerFC installed in it that he could do it right.
I am a fairly mechanically inclined person but I don't know if I trust myself to tune my car after putting so much $$$$ into it.
Good luck Soon2beriding
