My birthday was yesturday and my brother got me a set of PIAA headlights for my 03 GT.
I was taking alook last night in the dark at my headlight set up and was wondering how hard are these to change? I've noticed there is a rubber grommet behind the headlight assembly and from the installs page on here I saw on the HID installs that there is a wire that you have to take out to replace the entire set up. Do I have to take the entire headlight assembly out of my car and screw up the alignment of the beam to change these things? Or is this an easy turn and replace type job?
Thanks for the help everyone.

ideally...a 3 minute job. It's a knacky thing however, dealing with the dreaded wire clip in there...

Ahh so I've gotta have some crazy dislocated hands to get in there and do it without pulling the whole assembly out? Driver's side doesn't look to bad but the passenger side has this sweet plastic shroud over it.

passenger side is tighter than Jessica Alba. i believe the washer fluid container gets in the way.
I found the best technique is to hover over the headlight from the front / right and drape your fingers in there to address the clip. If you have fat palms, it'll be a tight squeeze.
I used a mechanic's mirror to familiarize myself with the layout in there originally, and Ive changed so many bulbs since that so I can do it in the dark if I had to. Or underwater.
or both.

It's easy to take off. If you want, just use a flathead to pry off the plastic caps holding the cover. Then you'll be able to reach the headlight no prob. buddy.

Alright thanks for the replies guys, I think I'm going to just jump in there this weekend when I have alittle bit of light to work with. Looks like it isn't going to be too difficult its just I'm going to have to hold off on drinking water for a few days so I can de-hydrate my hands and make them look like raisins so I can get in there...
Thanks again.

I was talking about the black plastic piece that has those plastic pins when you lift up the hood.

There are more than just those two. I hope I made myself a little more clearer with this pic.

Wow I was making a huge deal out of that, I got them switch up on my lunch break at work. Driver's side was done in 5mins the damn passenger side took about 30mins cause of the power steering fluid but gotter in there. AND no stripped skin on this job. WAHOO!!
