Heh, automatic, only 20k miles less than mine, 2 years older than mine (in the years of the oil consumption issue where mine is not) and yet he wants 4k more than mine was?

And while I will put the disclaimer that mods don't increase teh value of your car (you are better putting it back to stock and selling the mods seperate), even if they did... that car looks pretty close to stock except an annoying looking radio and big speakers in the back (which one can easily set up on their own. My roommate has a set he originally had done for his Scirocco that he has in his Audi now).

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA! The guy is a real comedian.

And while we are posting comedians selling their car:

http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/ctd/1022583581.html (that's more than I paid for my 3 year newer car with 40k less miles and the action package. Oh, and it is automagic. I have noticed nicely that with Celicas automatic does tend to make them cheaper usually. I noticed a lot of the good deals were unfortunately also automatics. Guess most people wanting Celicas actually want to drive *grin*)

And this one has been on sale on craigslist for a while. He's my favorite comic:
http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/1021627173.html
Ugly color and a salvage title. Sorry guy, that salvage title makes the car worth half it's blue book value and none of your little mods are going to change that (in fact, combine salvage with mods, and people are also going to think your car probably was very abused).

Unfortunately we get lots of comics with their prices here in my area. Made it hard to find a car. I ended up deciding for what people were asking, 10,500 for my car (2003, action package, color I wanted, 64k miles, no accidents on carfax) was a pretty decent deal, especially coming from a dealer.

Way to much money. Hope no one seriously considers that.

Gotta agree here. didn't notice til you pointed it out.

I wonder how do you achieve that (and are the handles there but just very hidden or is there some other way to open the door).

there are kits around all over the internet. basically you use a remote or hidden button which uses a mechanical device to pop the door open (not far, just a couple inches)

when installing, you remove the stock door handles, weld a piece of metal over the hole, fill, sand and paint over it to look like theres nothing there.
I think that's right at least.

just gotta have a backup plan in case your battery dies. Some people use extra batteries, but i've seen other people take a crowbar to their door (why they didn't just brake the window beats me)

He/she should have detailed the car if they want to sell it. I'm not saying they we get that kind of money, but representation is key.

Edit: "Show car", the sub box is being held by twine. LOL

Ah, not worth it. It looks nice but sounds like a great way to introduce really annoying problems to your car (I was just thinking it made it a much more hidden door handle. I don't really like the idea of having to have some motorized gizmo to open my door even if it would really enhance the looks).

Entering from the trunk.. lol. Some people amaze me. If you have the keys to start the car, Unlock the trunk, wire the seats to go down with an internal lever.. crowbar to the door, unbelieveable.. :AF:

edit: dont get me wrong, i take you for your word, i just can't believe someone would do that. lot of real winners out there.

Shaved door handles do look good on the Celica, but you gotta think wisely about doing that.

Nice sig, Ed!

shaved dooor handles are a royal pain, i have them on my 68 cutlass. it does really improve the looks but i made the mistake of trying to buy local, and the guy sold me crap silonoids, and one has already gone out. luckilly it's a garaged car so i can just leave the windows down until i get around to fixing it.
