Anyone interested in the track on Sunday!

If anyone is interested in racing at the track one more time this year Sunday is Island Dragways last day. There will be a bunch of DSM guys there plus the usual Rednecks. The website for them is www.islanddragway.com It should be a nice day so if anyone wants to go just show up. I'll be there just not racing.

I'll be there with my white POS 1G AWD with a bunch of other DSMers. If you see me or Kevin's car, stop on over to say hi. You're running Kevin, right? I wanna see a 16 second pass out of that POS!

If you decide to go, call the track first to make sure they are open. being the last day for them for the season, I amsure they will be open, but, Island has a history of closing shop for no reason. Better safe than sorry.

Yeah I'll be there but I don't know about running. It was kind of embarassing last time. I know it's an Automatic but still. So we'll see what happens tomorrow. By the way if I'm not running my car will be parked right when you come in. You can't miss it. Silver with the RMM kit and GT stock rims. But I'll be over by the DSM guys.

As for me, I am defintely rolling up with my white 1G AWD, along with a friends yellow 2G AWD. VPC and AFC are in and tuned good, and the car is hauling. Let's hope she stays together.

Hukster, racing doesn't start until I think 11 or 11;30. Forgot to add that, so you don't have to get there so early, or anyon else, unless you don't mind lounging. Should be nice anyway. I'll be there around 10 so stop on over and introduce yourself.

kevin, you dont do it in automatic, do you?? Do sportshift..you'll shave like a second off that. Plus you have a ton of weight on that car, so it isnt worth trying anyway :)

No I don't do it in Automatic. I raced it once before in March and I hit fuel cutoff in 1st gear so that slowed me down some. Plus all the added weight on the car. But it was all in fun then. As for yesterday. Rich raced once and it took him an hour of sitting in line for that. I didn't even bother because it was at least a 2 hour wait to race. At Island it seems they have this "VIP" system. That is all the muscle cars that are always there go first and everyone else can wait. Then once every 10 or so races there let two normal people go. So I wasn't about to deal with that. I'll just wait until next year and try it one more time with the system out, the body kit off and the stock tires.
