finally some pics of my car w/ the CF hood

ok, ive been having a few requests to get some good pics of my car with my new TC spoiler CF hood so i finally went out and got some decent ones tonight. luckily, in these pics you cant really see the fairly big wave in the fiber down the left side but that's the one thing i really hate about it. the fitment wasn't perfect on it either but at the same time it wasn't as bad as some hoods i've seen. the quality of the fiber and structural support is really good though. only other bad thing is my friend that got one at the same time had lots of little chips and really small dents in her's. but here's the pics for you to see for yourself... (oh, and i threw one in there with my friend's rsx-s too just in case you were wondering why it was there).

Well I am glad to see some phase 7 up on the boards finally, gotto say even though I know its not perfect the new hood looks nice, I am just about to get my rims they are coming in friday hopefully I will get some pics up asap...they are Voxx forzas. Michael's RSX looks nice in those pics too.

Looks real nice.. My FI CF hood w/ scoop is coming tommorrow.. woohoo.. nice to see a black car with a CF hood.. I was wondering how it looked. My car will look exactly like yours except for the rims... I have a Kaminari front too..

By the way.. did you put some clear coat on that hood? I get mixed responses from people on whether or not I should take my new CF hood to the bodyshop and have them clear coat it...

Are you sure that your hood is made by TC spoiler? I was told that TC spoiler only makes hoods w/ a unremoveable hoodscoop.

thanks for the compliments everybody...yea, it is a TC spoiler hood. i had to pay an extra $50 to get one with a removable scoop and then i just put my raised MB autosport carbon blue one in there. and no, i didnt bother to put any clearcoat on there (i had thought about getting it done with some dark blue) since i am planning on selling the car and everything on it within a month or so and getting a wrx (my celica doesn't seem to like me anymore).

Why'd you get all this stuff on your car if you know you're going to be selling it in a few months. Most guys would've been parting it up by now.

the hood was the last thing for the car and i probably wouldnt have gotten it if i knew how long it was gonna take and that i was definately gonna sell the car. i ordered it back around late feb. and didnt get it until late april, and during that time i made the decision to move on to something different. and everything else had been done last year before i had even thought of getting rid of it.

I heard Import Trenz will be coming out with a one piece carbon fiber hood w/ raised hood scoop. Guess who will prototype it?

Ive been looking everywhere for pics of a carbon blue celica with a carbon fiber hood. IMHO this is now my favorite color to go with a carbon fiber hood. I already have the hood scoop on my car now, and was thinking about buying a carbon fiber raised hood scoop, not now. The carbon blue fiberglass scoop looks great!! Thanks for the pics.

BTW if you DO decide to part out the car, I have dibs on the hood. hehe.
