So after seeing a couple of other Gen 7 Celicas I noticed that mine is missing the plastic grill that protects the radiator from rocks and debris. Is there a place where I can purchase a new one of these for a decent price?

If not, or if it proves to be too costly, how hard would it be to fabricate one of my own out of metal fencing... maybe out of materials similar to this:

I know I've seen stuff like this before on other cars. My question is, are these home-made fabrications, or are they pre-made pieces done by a company or something?
Thanks in advance,

As far as the metal ones go, I really don't know much but I just bought the lower grill for my car off of parts.com and it was around $65 I think but it's cheaper than the dealership. parts.com is the cheapest site I've found so far when it comes to ordering oem parts.

Is your celica black or carbon blue? reguardless, you should murder it out.

Damn, looks like your drivers side tires need some air.

Probably not missing since yours is an 01. They only became standard on 02s, and they weren't even available before that. Grillecraft makes one, but it's expensive, and sticks out to the end of the bumper. Good for aero, looks are subjective. You can DIY by getting some grill material and cutting tabs to stick under the 4 bolts on the lip, and screwing the grill into the sides on the inside of the bumper.

i wouldn't count on it protecting anything. I hit an animal and it went through the front grille as if it wasn't even there and smashed in my ac compressor. Just figured i'd toss that out there for you.

It's not meant to stop animals man. The bumper itself can barely handle that responsibility. It's meant for small road debris like rocks and such.

Hey thanks guys for the feedback. I probably will do it myself the next time I have a day off.

As for the other questions, my Celica is black, and it probably looks like the tire needs air because the road is somewhat on a slant, and so is the picture.

Oh and I'm not looking to use it to stop any animals from smashing through my radiator, more so to prevent rocks and things from hitting it.
