Center Cubby Door

I remember looking at it the last time I had it apart, but couldn't figure out if it's possible to remove the door that covers the little cubby thing under the clock. Mine's all scratched up so I was wondering if I could just replace the rather than the whole console.

Yes you can remove the door. I doubt you will be able to buy just the door though..

yea you are lucky if you can get just the door usualy its just the centers piece all togeather

I've seen quite a few consoles that are a little beat up but the door's better than mine so I was just going to swap them or even put something in place of it like a gps or something.

Was going to mess with it today but the weather guy did that great thing of predicting the exact opposite. So it's 20 degrees and snowing rather than 50 and sunny.

Bring it inside...Takes like 1 minute to take that big console piece off, then take the door off inside.

Another quick question about the door: is there anyway to make it stay open better? Sorry for my laziness, just wondering, since it almost auto closes itself.

Hey... Just played with mine not too long ago, and I had a bit of the same problem. What you're going to want to do is open that spring up a bit more when you take it off finally... I wish I could remember how to take it off step by step, or I'd put it in here, but it's fairly simple. Just remember how you took it apart... My door was scratched on mine, which lead me to paint my console.
