THe TRD air filter is made by K&N. Stick with K&N as it is cheaper.

You will get maybe 1/4 HP increase with either models. I have dynoed with both a TRD airfilter and OEM air filter and found no difference. In fact my highest dyno numbers were dynoed with an OEM air filter.

when I called a local Totota dealer (not where I bought the car) to get a price on a TRD exhaust, the parts guy tried to interest me in a TRD air filter.

When I told him I already had a K&N filter installed he said: "OK you`re all set then".
He admitted they are both basicly the same.

Don't get the air filter for performance, only get it for the ability to clean and reuse it.
