swap in a 2ZZ ???

hey guys i have a automatic 2000 gt and i was thinking of swaping for a 2zz since i cant find any gts by me x_x i have a few questions

just wondering where i could find one?

how much would it cost?

and is it really worth it on a auto?

planing to do it on my own with my uncle when the summer comes around.

Hrm, supposedly if you put a 2zz into an auto you will actually make the car a little slower due to the high power band of the 2zz. I do know for certain you can hit lift for a couple of seconds when you are doing stuff like driving down a freeway onramp but that's about it. I own a GT-S auto and overall Im very happy with it, but Id be hesitant to spend the time and money on a project like that.

If you're looking for lower-end torque its better to keep the 1zz engine. The 2zz engine has more power but only at a high rpm. In my opinion, just keep the 1zz engine unless you're just dying to get the 2zz. =D

Totally not worth it on an auto. You'll spend big money to have a car just as fast (or slow) as before.

Good choice. If you want a 2zz best bet is to just buy a GTS.

yea but sadly celicas are rare by me it was hard enough for me to find my gt and to find a gts if like on in a million =(
