Need some lens' for my Cannon Rebel XTI
I have a tamron 28-80 right now and the standard 18-50 lens that came with the camera. I am finding the tamron is having trouble focusing when I zoom in on objects  Can anyone give me suggestions for lenses. I am looking at a cnanon 75-300 right now as well as a 50mm and a 100mm
Anything else. I am looking to do a couple of photoshoots at the local rock climbing gym as well as some sport shooting so start the recomendations!
thanks

I've got the kit lens, 50mm prime, and the 75-300mm zoom. All work perfectly and take great pictures.

What brand. Were they all cannon or did you go with Tamron or Sigma or anything else like that?
All Canon. I try to keep myself from using aftermarket brands, unless I do extensive research.

Well I talked about a tamron with friends who are prof photographys and they said it was a decent brand. Come to find out they have lower expectations then i do =p

I have the Canon 50mm f1.8, Sigma 17-70, and Sigma 70-300.
For both Sigmas, the pictures are a little soft at the telephoto end.
For the 70-300, it gets very soft at the telephoto end. Usually focus works fine but on some occasions it has trouble when I have it between 250-300mm.
My Sigma 17-70 hasn't had any problems with focusing as of yet.

i think sigma has one of the best lenses besides your manufactures. Also i've read some decent reviews on Tokina lenses. it all depends on what type of things you are taking pics with. The next lens that i want is a 28-105mm nikkor macro lens. it's a pretty good walk around lens and works well w/ macro shots. i wanted a 17-50mm 2.8 nikkor lens but it's just too damn pricey! over $800 :AF:

might need to get the lens re-calibrated, or maybe its a bad copy. never shot with Tamron so i'm not sure about the quality of their lenses
