Anyone solve the "squealing" belt issue? My 01' is still a great looking car
(120,000). Recently replaced the MAF, and was pleasantly surprised by the results. I kept getting the "tensioner" response from the dealer which had been replaced at least 5 times prior to the warranty ending.
The last time (6 months) ago, I thought I had it beat. According to my dealer, there was a new belt designed. I had it installed and over the last 2 weeks it's starterd again. Cold rainy weather...

try a goodyear gatorback belt. i think its the cheapest initial trial/error solution. also look to see under your car behind the pass side wheel, take off the plastic that shows the pulleys. see if any pink crust is there. mine kept squeaking even though i took it to the dealer and somehow they never noticed the abundance of pink crust. it is coolant as my water pump was leaking onto the belt, causing the squeak

Thanks. Scheduled to get this belt installed.

I appreciate the responses. I'll forward results in time.

the gatorback belt is a bit more expensive than a typical belt, but you'll really appreciate the difference it makes as far as the noise goes.
