Idk if you guys remember but I had the run in with a Dodge Ram pick-up last year and crumpled up the front end pretty good, but the good news is shes back on the road!!!! Nice as ever! I dont have any after pics yet but I can post them if you all would like before and after pics on here. But yeah its been quite a project but I do need a couple more things to complete the car like 2 front seat belts (using a POS lap belt for the driver seatr right now lol) a cover for the passenger airbag, and the hood and passenger side fender painted. Thats about it! So I'm glad to be back on newcelica.org!!!

p.s. I sold my '97 GT a few days ago, very sad day to see her drive away forever...I'll miss it!!!

Yeah the body shop did a real nice job, especially with the a-pillar. you cant even tell where the weld is on it. I just cant wait to get it painted!

how much was that first red piece, not sure what it's called. that frame thing. I was in an accident a couple weeks ago and part of that got crumpled up. I'm hoping the shop can fix it without replacing the whole thing as that would be mucho expensive.

I actually got that whole front clip (frame part only) for around 200 bucks...but I got super lucky. Got it at a local junk yard from a Celica that got rear ended. Took awhile to find it. But yeah good luck though cuz it might cost you a pretty penny...Sorry to hear you got into the accident.

That can definitely be fixed. Mine was 3 times worse cuz mine was crumpled all the way to the firewall. That's just the wheel well. or did it bend anything else???
=-Samurai-=

make that 10 times worse than yours, but you might want to double check the whole frame around that area, I found bends in stuff I didnt think would get bent...

Thats the only area i see that was crushed. but who knows what they'll find when they take the fender off. It's gonna cost around $1500 as is, and i already paid $800 for parts, plus i still have to find out how much it's gonna cost to paint and install my rear bumper (seperate issue, but i just ordered it a day before the accident)
=-Samurai-=
03-24-2009, 03:35 PM
Yeah its not cheap, which sucks...cost me about 4 grand. and I need to paint it yet.

I'm hoping the old front bumper is salvageable so i can sell it. It's the TRD one.

I think it is, just needs to be repainted thats all. It doesnt look like its been broken anywhere, those bumpers are pretty flexible.

There is cosmetic damage to the driver side, and a little more on the bottom of the passenger side. The tab for mounting (the top red circle) is ripped, but not broken off, so i think just adding a washer could fix that. but on the bottom red circle, there is a little bit broken off from where the very tip mounts to the fender. I'm not sure how that would look or how it would be delt with. There is another mounting hole a couple inches away from that but still.

Yeah...I wouldn't know if that would not sit flush with the fender or not either. I guess the best thing to do is get your damage fixed and put that bumper back on and test fit it.
