Kinda Rough getting into 2nd...

...whenever i shift at 8200 at first, or i downshift. it doesnt slide into gear like butter. for some reason its only 2nd gear. is this a big problem? its in gear, but it doesnt slide in.

p.s.

the dealer installed 2k2 spec tranny, and they replaced 2nd and 6th gear.. should i take it back?

Yeah. Make sure your not forcing it it. You gotta give the syncros time to mesh the gear. If you force it. You'll break teeth on the gear and syncro.

it may take a little break in time...during that process (as always) go easy on changing gears...if it doesn't get better soon, then i say bring it back. Since they've already worked on it, you shouldn't have a problem getting them to look into it.

its been almost 1 month since i got the car back. its not that i have to force it into gear. its just now sliding in like the rest of the gears

2nd gear will never feel the same as the rest of the gears. this is due to the fact that we have a dual cone synchro for the 1st to 2nd gear change. This is actually interesting to mention, since it also happens to the RSX-S. They have a triple cone synchro on the 1st to 2nd change, and if any Acura owner cares to check for us, in this month's Acura magazine (I don't recall the name of the actual publication), there's a letter from an RSX-S owner complainig about this same issue, 2nd gear not "feeling" as smooth as the rest of the gears, to which Acura replied it was due to the multi cone synchro ring for that gear change...
