Easiest way would be to go to the dealer and trade it!

pluto is currently doing this. Do a search and you'll find his post where he lists all the parts needed for the conversion.

Just an idea, if you are going to actually pay all the money to do a conversion, why not get a 6 speed instead of the 5 speed that normally comes in the GT? European Celica GT's actually come with 6 speed transmitions, so even if the US GTS 6 speed doesnt bolt up, Toyota does make one that will bolt up. Good idea, no?

If you start to really add up what it would cost it's cheaper to just trade in, then you'll still have a warranty too. I just traded in my auto GT-S for a stick and it is a completely different car altogether with a stick, the auto trans was in no way designed for the car and the way it drives really shows.

It's going to cost you way more than it's worth to swap out the transmission. Your best bet is to get a GTS 6 speed. It's the most cost effective.
