I am trying to get my project under way with building my motor and adding a turbo set-up to it. My problem is that I am being told that I need to get some super expensive management system in able to tune my car for the horse power I am looking for, which is daily driver 350-400hp, and turning it up at the track to 450hp and up. I know that some of you guys out there are putting down power like this, what engine managment systems are you running to do so?

Apex Power FC is your best bet

Yep, your going to need some sort of engine management, and they aren't cheap.
For your power goals your going to need Power FC or Hydra......most use Power FC.

Yep...I've heard Apexi before, and that is what i was planning on using, but i forgot to tell u guys my car is a 4 speed automatic paddel shifter so the Apexi I am told will not work. As for the Hydra thing....I've just recently heard of that, how much does that run? I've heard like over a thousand...and obviously I would like to avoid that if possible since the build on its own without the management system is enough. I do also plan to trailer my car to a dyno as soon as the motor is broken in and the turbo is all on. Is there any way that since i am doing that i may not need to get something as crazy as Hydra even though I understand that the better the engine system is the better they will be able to tune.

350-400hp
Without any engine management is asking for a blown engine. Get the Hydra.

Aight...I know that I need an engine management system thats not what I'm asking....I'm asking what are you guys out there for horsepower over 350? I know that I have seen people on here saying they got over 400hp so what are you guys running to do so? And if is Hydra management system is the only one that I can use where can I get my hands on it?

Most use PFC, I swear I said that.
You can run a PFC, but you have to get a custom harness to run it in tandem with your stock ECU, contact boosted2.0 he makes them, I think they run $700ish.
I'm extremely unfamiliar with the Hydra Nemesis, here is their website http://www.hydraems.com/nemesis/nemesis/nemesis_spec.html Looks like they retail for around $1800

Personally, I use the PFC. I had no issues installing it and found it's good for tuning. Most members use the Apexi hands down for boosted applications.
You mentioned your car is auto so you will have to go with the Hydra or Boosted's (a member on this board) harness and the Apexi (which will most likely end up costing you in the +$1,000 range anyhow). I think Brashboy also carried a harness that allowed you to piggy back off the stock ecu with Apexi but it wasn't cheap either.
http://www.vinnytenracing.com/hydra-ems/ is one place that carries the hydra but it is costly so you might want to do some price shopping to see if the Apexi ends up being cheaper with the harness. You can learn to tune both but most people on this site know the Apexi better.
